We are licensed to operate under the regulations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. We are also members of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland.

Financial Statements Auditing Services

Our broad experience in this area, our adherence to sound commercial principles alongside a cost-effective approach has proven to be a successful formula to date for Boylan & Dodd. Our audit service includes:-

    Management Accounting Assistance

    Our partners and staff at Boylan & Dodd will endeavor to provide you with pragmatic solutions to a wide range of management accounting issues, including:-
  • Preparing management accounts (ie. on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis). We will review the way in which you produce accounts, in particular the timeliness of such accounts. In other words, do you really need monthly accounts? Might it be better to produce more accurate reports quarterly and report key figures weekly ? What is the point in producing inaccurate accounts monthly just for the sake of meeting an unrealistic deadline? Why not do a full stocktake quarterly, but making it a good one?
  • Establishing realistic budgets and monitoring them against management accounts. We will also evaluate the effect of budgets on your organisation. Is your organisation dysfunctional as a result of budgets? For example, do departments spend money merely to ensure they receive the same allocation next year?     Our Partners
    Christopher Dodd

    The original firm, which has now evolved into Boylan & Dodd and are the Irish representatives of Kreston International, was founded by Frank Quinn and Sean Grehan in 1945. Frank is a member of the well known Belvedere College Quinn family. Frank Quinn merged with Christopher Dodd in 1974 to form Grehan, Quinn and Dodd. Christopher, as well as being a qualified Chartered Accountant, is also an Economist having gained a first class honours degree (M.Econ.Sc) from University College Dublin. Prior to practice, Christopher was a Corporate Finance specialist.

    Donal Boylan

    Donal Boylan joined the partnership in 1980 and, on the retirement of Frank Quinn, the firm changed it's name to Boylan & Dodd. Donal is an audit and taxation specialist and was awarded second place in the final examination of the Institute of Taxation of Ireland.
