traffic In Budget 2007, The Minister signalled his intention to commence a consultation process concerning VRT. The aim is to effectively give VRT and Motor tax relief to "green" energy efficient cars. It is likely "gas guzzlers" will have to pay higher motor taxes.

The structure of VRT was changed in the budget for 2003.



From 1 January 2003, the position is as follows:
